The Washington State Fair Event Center is hiring a Landscaping/Groundskeeper Supervisor to execute the overall landscape strategy and groundskeeping maintenance plan for the organization. Leading these efforts include overseeing the landscaping staff, groundskeeping crews, and contractors in turf maintenance, landscaping, annual and perennial floral planning and coordination, weed control and tree & shrubbery trimming in order to make the fairgrounds a high quality, first class outdoor and indoor setting. Other duties as assigned, which may be outside the above scope of work to support the organization’s goals and objectives.

The Photo Salon Docent provides positive, friendly customer service in the Fair’s Photo Salon department. Candidate duties during photo intake include organizing prints, setting up gallery space, and other duties as assigned by the Superintendent. Candidate duties during the Fair include greeting patrons, answering questions, redirecting traffic flow through exhibits, and ensuring the safety of the gallery. This job is a seasonal, non-benefitted position with a wage of $16.66/hr.
The Fair Farm Animal Attendant will provide friendly customer service by greeting patrons, monitoring safety of guests and animals in petting area, answering questions, directing people to hand washing station, scooping animal waste, and monitoring entrances and exits. This is a seasonal, non-benefitted position with a wage range of $16.66 to $16.66/hr.

Responsible for assisting and supporting Board of Directors areas within the executive department. Works within the Executive Team to ensure fair time hospitality is executing to expectations. Reports directly to the Executive Assistant & Hospitality Coordinator, and helps with successful board and corporate hospitality functions, including but not limited to meeting rooms, luncheons, dinners, special events both public and private, and directors’ spaces. 20–25 hours per week, with increased hours leading up to and during State Fair. The pay for this position is $16.66 per hour. There are no benefits offered.
This seasonal position plays a vital role in creating a positive and memorable experience for Fair guests by providing excellent customer service and maintaining an engaging, safe, and welcoming environment within our unique attraction spaces. Responsibilities include greeting and interacting with guests, providing information about exhibits and interactive elements, assisting with crowd control and line management, monitoring exhibit spaces to ensure guest safety and display integrity, and performing light cleaning tasks such as wiping surfaces, restocking materials, and tidying attraction areas.
The Washington State Fair is hiring Tractor Tracks Attendants for our outdoor children’s pedal tractor attraction. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly environment by monitoring entrance and exit points, ensuring proper helmet use, redirecting traffic flow, and supervising the course for safe play.

Formerly, The Taste of Tacoma, a popular food and entertainment event since 1986, it has found a new home. The three-day extravaganza welcomes a diverse array of restaurants, food trucks, music and other activities for all ages.
